What this service does
Favlint is a diagnostic tool for checking website favicon files. You enter a URL,
the service fetches that URL's HTML page (server-to-server), reads all icon declarations
from the <head>, requests each icon file, and returns a report
of which are present and which are missing.
Data collected
- The URL you submit — used solely to fetch the page and its icon files. It is not stored, logged, or shared.
- HTTP request metadata — standard web server logs (timestamp, request path, response status, approximate IP address) are retained temporarily for operational purposes (rate limiting, abuse prevention). These logs are not associated with any user identifier and are not retained beyond 7 days.
Data NOT collected
- No user accounts, no registration, no cookies, no tracking.
- No analytics services, no third-party scripts, no beacons.
- No personal information — we do not ask for your name, email address, or any other identifier.
- No browsing history beyond the single URL you submit for a scan.
How the URL you submit is handled
When you submit a URL, the Favlint Worker fetches that URL from its own servers. The fetch is ephemeral: the page HTML and icon file contents are processed in memory and discarded after the response is sent. Favlint does not cache, store, or redistribute the content it fetches.
Children's privacy
This service is intended for general audiences. It does not knowingly collect any information from children under 16.
