What the report tells you

Declared icons verified Every <link rel="icon"> is fetched and its real format, width and height are measured from binary headers — not just the declared sizes attribute.
Conventional paths probed /favicon.ico, /apple-touch-icon.png and /apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png are checked even if the page does not declare them, because the browser requests them regardless.
Consumer-specific summary The browser tab, Google Search results and iOS home screen each use a different icon. Favlint tells you which one each consumer actually ends up with — and which has nothing.
Format & dimension accuracy Detected from magic bytes: ICO, PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG. If the Content-Type says PNG but the bytes say ICO, the report flags the mismatch.
